LanaiBlo Personalised Hairdryer * – Blogmas Day Two

Now, I’m not one that usually bothers too much with my hair, but I’m trying to change that. One thing I cannot live without though (particularly in the winter) is a hairdryer. Going to bed in the freezing cold with wet hair is just a big NO. To start me on my brand new hair care regime with great products, I (very fortunately) was sent a lovely personalised hairdryer from LanaiBlo. Here are my thoughts on this 2400W hairdryer – which happens to be the most powerful I’ve ever used.

So, let me give you the run down…

Here are some of the features this hairdryer boasts and my thoughts on them. I took these from their website just so I could accurately give you all of the details of the product!

2400W – professional standard for everyday

As I mentioned in the beginning of the post, this hairdryer really was the most powerful I had ever used at home. Think salon standard hair drying in your bedroom. I have to say I was a little shocked at just how powerful it was. I turned it on and my hair was almost blown off my head. (Cue imaginary Beyoncé photoshoot using hairdryer as a fan.) It took around 8-10 minutes to dry my hair completely, as opposed to almost 20 when I dry it with my other dryer. (And even then it’s still damp.)

Ionic Technology – to stop static energy and to leave hair smooth

My hair was surprisingly smooth after using. Usually my hair is very static and frizzes a little after blowdrying. It did look the same immediately after drying, but after brushing through I definitely saw a difference. My hair wasn’t sticking to the brush and the little fly-aways that are usually disturbed by static were not a problem.

Cold Shot – cold hair helps you ‘set’ the style you have made with the dryer

I didn’t use this hairdryer to style my hair so I didn’t really use this to ‘set’. I just used it a few times to see how it worked, and I can definitely see how this would lock in a style. It was a little too cool, but a very interesting concept I’ve never seen as a selling point for a hairdryer before. It would be great if you were curling your hair while drying!

Lightweight –  ergonomically designed, to minimise discomfort

I’m not too sure about this one. It isn’t as light as my other hairdryers, and is a pain to hold up after a while. However, it is also far better quality than other hairdryers I’ve had, so perhaps that’s just what makes it seem heavy to me.

Long Cord – making styling life easier

Now this was a definite plus for me. My room is quite big, and I like to stand in front of a mirror to dry my hair. The length of other cords meant that I always had to move my mirror so that it would reach. Now I don’t have to! Not that it was a massive inconvenience to move my mirror, but at least I don’t have to anymore! This is definitely good if you have a similar problem to me, with larger distances between your electric sockets. It would also be ideal in a professional sense, as you are not as restricted.

Personalisation – add 15 characters to personalise!

This is a little gimmicky I know, but it is a clever idea. Especially, if you have your own business, big or small. It really adds an element of professionalism to your styling tools to have a business name on them.

And there you have it…

I think it’s amazing that they have a professional standard product that you can buy and personalise online! If there’s someone in your life that you think would enjoy one (say, they’re a hair stylist or they have very long, thick hair that takes a long time to dry) maybe consider getting them one as a Christmas gift – you can get their nickname or business name on it! It’ll look super thoughtful, when actually it took 10 minutes online! (I promise I wont tell!)

LanaiBlo can be bought here – starting from £99.99 – comes in black, white and pink.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you did, please leave me a comment down below telling me what you think of this hairdryer!

I’ll be back every day during December to bring you a post, so don’t forget to come back! Don’t be a stranger!
