Yankee Candle Holiday Scents – Blogmas Day Twelve

Yankee Candle Holiday Scents – Blogmas Day Twelve

Yankee Candle Holiday Scents – Blogmas Day Twelve

Woooo, we’re half way thereeee. Welcome to day twelve of Blogmas, the halfway point. Today, I thought I’d show you the little Yankee Candle Holiday scents I picked up in Tesco. It was only £6 for the 4 votive candles, but they are currently out of stock online, so looking in your local store for them is your best bet. I was lucky enough that I got my hands on them at the end of November.

I love to burn candles in the winter. There’s something very relaxing about candles. Due to my room always being so inexplicably cold in the winter, it also adds a little element of cosiness (and when I’m desperate – heat) to my room that just isn’t the same during the summer time.

I don’t normally have Yankee Candles (they are often out of my price range), but on the odd occasion when I do have one, they have never let me down. Unlike the cheaper counterparts (of which I have bought many – probably enough that I could actually just buy a good Yankee Candle…??) the scent is very noticeable, if anything, almost overpowering if burnt for too long.

So, you get more bang for your buck. You can burn one of these candles and get the scent to fully circulate within (for me, anyway) 3o minutes – 1 hour. Then, if you still want a candle burning, an unscented one would be great to stop the scent becoming overwhelming, and also saves your candle!

I had never had these smaller votive candles until this year. They are definitely more budget friendly than the bigger jars, come in all of the scents, and you can also buy a little cute holder for them… I would recommend them over the big candles any day! The one reason I might be inclined to buy a bigger jar candle is if you really love a particular scent, the burn time is way longer. So, if you don’t like to switch up the scents just as often, a jar may be the better investment.

The scents in this set are all perfect for winter. We have Sparkling Holiday, Holiday Magic, Oh Christmas Tree and Christmas Wishes. The scent I am currently burning is Sparkling Holiday, and it’s very difficult to explain scent-wise. It has a rather floral scent, but with an underlying lemon/citrus base. It’s quite sharp on the senses but it’s very uplifting, which I enjoy!

The other three scents I haven’t actually burnt yet, but just from smelling them I can tell you that Holiday Magic is a perfect scent for those of you that love cinnamon and more spicy smells around the holiday time. Oh Christmas Tree does kind of speak for itself in that it does very much smell like wood and more like a pine cone scent. (I feel like I’m explaining these awfully but I still have one more to go!) Now, Christmas Wishes, from first impression smells rather aftershave-like, but still comes back to a rather woody scent.

I can’t wait to burn the rest of these candles over Christmas and the New Year, to make my room smell so festive and warm. It really is amazing how a candle can change your mood!

I hope you enjoyed me rambling on about some candles for this post, and I hope you’ll leave me a comment down below telling me which candles you love! Particularly Yankee Candle scents!
